Mickey Adams and Nigel Short shared first place on 8½/11
with Mickey winning the two game rapid play-off for the
title 1½-½. Gawain Jones and Jonathan Hawkins (second GM
norm) finished on 8 and Danny Gormally, David Howell and
Nick Pert finished on 7½. Jovanka Houska became British and
English Womens Champion with 7/11 whilst David Howell became
British Under 21 Champion, Yang-Fan Zhou under 18 champion
and Sheila Dines under 18 girls champion.
